Alex Vaskov is a founder and the Chief Technology Officer of Blue Arbor Technologies. He has over 7 years of experience researching and developing implantable neural interfaces for prosthetic hand control. His PhD and postdoctoral research focused on the development and clinical testing of real-time control algorithms to interpret peripheral nerve and muscle signals into prosthetic movement commands, designing power efficient embedded systems to clinically translate this technology, and regulatory management for our early-feasibility IDE study. Prior to graduate school, Alex was a software development consultant at Accenture. Alex received his PhD in robotics from the University of Michigan and his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
